In Accord to the experts, digital transformation in organizations represents the fourth industrial revolution promoted by the Internet and the updated technology and it is tools in sectors such as health, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), Big Data, Machine Learning (ML), “Deep Learning” (DL), robots, printers in 3D/4D, Blockchain, drones, autonomous vehicles, among others are part of the disruption of this fourth industrial revolution.


This technological disruption is an immediate and radical change that requires a corporative mindset of innovation with values, attitudes, behaviors, processes, and resources that are evaluated to define the technological level of maturity. Consequently, the organization must orient efforts and resources in the training process to obtain transformational leaders that lead an agile change focused on customers and an out-of-the-box approach, to the conventional organizational systems and processes.


Digital transformation is irrupting the management and other areas in businesses: the training in new models of leadership in digital competencies, the change and innovation in the organizational culture, the digitalization that permits the omnichannel and multichannel, and the management of data for modeling to improve the speed of the digital process. Its goal is to improve efficiency and accuracy, improve the return on investment, promote ecological sustainability, and practice de circular economy.


Digital transformation issues are lack of strategy and planned change program, lack of support in training, and lack of spaces, resources, and requirements for the individual and collective groups.


The experts consider that the new transformational leaders in these moments of digital transformation must acquire knowledge, practices, and experience in Cybersecurity, Big Data, Intelligence Business (BI), and Analytics. This should include immersive realities such as virtual reality, additive production using 3D printers, robotics, blockchain, cloud computing, the Internet of Changes, and others related to information and communication technologies.


In the circumstance that organizations decide to partake in digital transformation, they must take into account the different stages of the process, including e-commerce, digital Marketing, the digitalization of a process, cybersecurity, development of tech infrastructure, the migration to the cloud services, business analytics, and ROI analysis.


For example, one European Company has taken the challenge to move to a Data-Driven Company, by opening a “Data-Unit-as-a-service” that will interconnect the Organization, with their services and commercialization oriented to the customer. Additionally, the organization is dedicated to continuous learning and promoting the efficiency and growth of commercial activity.


According to the digital transformation activity, the organization has a plan for managing the change activity oriented toward the development of the digital mindset. By implementing training programs and changing digital behavior and performance.


The learned lessons are focused on designing a plan to involve every department, the requirement to count on the board's support in making strategic decisions with the budget, and a solid internal communication plan that covers and facilitates the strategy to decide business with data analysis.


The big challenge is keeping their competencies and comparative advantage in the generation. The question is whether is worth capturing around the manage transformation or not, in recognition that the detail will be: when? why? and for what?
